I’m a long-time admirer of Zcash for multiple reasons, and hold a non-trivial shielded bag. I’m also firmly on the political left (i.e. social democrat with a dose of anarchist skepticism). I see no tension between these positions, and honestly, I’m not really looking to debate them. Curious how many other lefty zcashers are out there? In part I’m curious because a lot of the biggest advocates for zcash on crypto twitter constantly post what are, imo, asinine/juvenile anti-left memes. But the privacy/anti-surveillance pitch fits very neatly with left politics and it would be a shame if folks were negatively polarized against an awesome project (there’s a whole other can of worms with the Winklevii and Trump etc.). It just seems so obviously at odds with promoting wider adoption. Again, not looking to fight about this stuff, just genuinely curious if there are other likeminded holders in what I consider a groundbreaking technology. submitted by /u/fluoridechronicles [link] [comments]

Please accumulate minimum of 10 ZEC. You wouldn't want to be like those newbies in the Bitcoin community trying to stack sats just to attain 1 whole coin. By then it's already too late. The time is now! Stack 10 ZEC minimum, shield it and forget about it. 5-10years time we will come back to this. This will be the last 100x. Privacy is the final phase of cryptography.
